Wednesday's In The Word

Need a little encouragement in the middle of your week? Start your Wednesday's off right! Renew your spirit and refresh your soul.

I'm sure you have heard it said "knowledge is power." While gaining knowledge and understanding is essential for growth, it is important to consider what knowledge you are chasing after. Will the knowledge you are chasing give you smarts that will help you gain worldly things, or is the knowledge you are chasing of everlasting value? Will that head knowledge also affect your heart knowledge? This is where wisdom begins. When we connect the mind and the heart and pursue the will of God, His blessings will flow. We are a fierce to be reckoned with. To behold this fierceness, we must not remain stagnant. We must continue to strive for more wisdom, because if we are not gaining, we are losing. Just as God wishes us to share our worldly possessions to those in need, He also wishes us to share our faith riches with those with a starving soul. For those with wise souls and a heart with Jesus at the center, shine brighter than precious gems. Have you ever met a women who is firmly rooted in her faith in Jesus? What does she look like? What does she act like? How does she treat everyone around her? How does she affect the people she touches? Would you consider her pleasant and peaceful and a blessing to all who know her? My guess is you could think of a few women like this. A woman who carries herself in a certain way and leaves a lasting imprint on the people around her. Maybe you have wondered what her secret is, maybe you already know. It could be a safe bet to say that the extra skip in her step and gentle-kindness towards others is a result of Jesus at her heart's center. I would bet she is always striving to know and be more like Him. The great news is that we can ALL be her! We all receive the same love from God and opportunities to grow in wisdom. We all have the opportunity to shine brightly, because we are all more precious than rubies in His sight.
