Just Getting Started...

Do you ever think you have your life all figured out? Like this grand plan of what your life is going to look like in 10, 20, or 40 years. Let me tell you that was me, and still is me. However, when I started living for God's plan and not my own, I quickly realized that I may need to become a little more flexible. This makes me think of Thomas Rhett when he sings "you make your plans and you hear God laughing." God has a sense of humor like that, oh yes He does.
I have always felt confident that I knew my calling was to be a hair stylist. I grew up cutting my barbie's hair and braiding my teammates hair on the bus on our way to volleyball games. I looked at a few colleges just to make sure, and I knew after those college visits that I was destined for beauty school. Here I am, 17 years later realizing that calling was maybe the stepping stone onto the next. While I still love what I do, I don't question when I feel a nudge from God. Ok, maybe I ask Him a lot of questions. Those questions are to figure out my next direction and hope that I am hearing Him right.
So here is to my new direction...a journey of writing and leading. If I could have one goal it would be to help people realize that a relationship with Jesus will change their life. If I can help even one person to feel what a relationship with Jesus is like, to the very depth of their soul, my goal will be complete and oh so worth it!
